PHOTO SHOOTS IN RIVIERA MAYA WITH FINE ART BODY COLLAGE ARTIST

Hidden Beach Resort, the only luxury Au Naturel Club in Riviera Maya, is excited to host Carolyn Quan, acclaimed Hawaiian fine art photo collage artist. Quan is known for creating collages using her own original photographs and the naked human body as mediums. Conducted as part of the Gourmet Inclusive® concept, whereby guests savor every detail of their environment, this continues a series of events hosted at Hidden Beach Resort this year, continually enhancing the guest experience. Quan will be at Hidden Beach Resort creating, exhibiting and selling her artwork from December 3 - 9, 2008.

"My artwork is created by taking my own original photographs and blending and layering them together to create the photo collage. The beauty of Hidden Beach Resort provides the perfect medium for my work," said Quan. "I am very excited and honored to not only showcase my artwork for the guests of Hidden Beach Resort, but to have them participate as my subjects by posing for photographs throughout the resort."

During her stay at Hidden Beach Resort, Quan will host twice-daily shows where guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and participate in a preview shoot, during which time she will photograph individuals or couples and collage the images into art as complimentary mementos.

Guests are also invited to book custom photo shoots, taking place around beautiful Hidden Beach Resort, which will result in professional one-of-a-kind collage creations. Rates for these packages start at $500 for a 20-minute meeting and a 20-frame photo shoot at the beach. For $1,500, guests can purchase the superior package including a 200-frame photo shoot anywhere in the resort and up to two rounds of collage modifications.

Quan's artwork will be displayed and available for purchase throughout the week; there will be a silent auction for some of her larger works.

Carolyn Quan is an acclaimed Hawaii fine art photo collage artist. She has been a full time artist for seven years. Quan is one of the most innovative artists in the world. She is celebrated by art collectors worldwide from Germany to Japan to Australia. Quan's former career was as a graphic designer for nearly 15 years before becoming a full-time artist. She was inspired to switch careers after living in New York City during the tragic September 11 attacks and moved to Hawaii shortly afterwards. Now she uses Hawaii's beautiful landscape as inspiration for her artwork.
