Palapa Mystery Revealed
Many a Hidden Beach guest has paused to speculate and wonder aloud about the giant palapa just beyond the fence to the north of property. What better excuse could there be to satisfy their curiosity than Hidden Beach's 5th Anniversary Celebration?
The big reveal will take place during the month of May amidst all the 5th anniversary buzz. Thereafter, all those who visit will come to revere Hidden Beach as a destination that truly has it all! Yes, the famed and mysterious palapa will realize its true purpose...
Keep your pants on! I'm getting to the good part. The palapa will soon shelter a bar and tables, a small stage for evening entertainment and a great big hot tub. The laid-back lounge overlooking the ocean will soon be counted among Hidden Beach's hottest spots to just hang out.

Give Me a Spring Break!
The irony of Hidden Beach dedicating the month of March to the shenanigans of Spring Break was not lost on our saucy, savvy guests, who commented, "Every time I jump in the pool, my chi chis get wet. Is it somehow sexier through cotton?" Valid point. As for the beer drinking contest scheduled for 11:00 a.m., let's just say it came a little early for those who spent the evening partaking in the tequila and margarita- guzzling antics of the teen set. Fortunately the Hot Legs and Hot Bodies contests still had their charm. After all, a rockin' bod and a great set of gams are worthy of praise regardless of whether or not they were covered up to begin with.

Who’s who spotlight.
Lorenzo Kumul Pool (a.k.a. "Speedy" González)
When Lorenzo heard rumor of an Au Natural resort in the Mayan Riviera, he simply refused to believe it. Surely his friends were just pulling his leg! As fate would have it, Lorenzo would soon land a job that would provide him with irrefutable evidence of its existence and quite a surprise indeed. On his first day as a Hidden Beach waiter he was awestruck by the spectacular view that, albeit beautiful, was surprisingly-stark. He is consumed by the giggles as he recounts the story.
He earned the nickname Speedy Gonzales for obvious reasons: he's small and fast. "I like to move," he says, and move he does! As one of Hidden's most valued waiters, Lorenzo aims to provide guests with the best experience possible and tends to the afternoon shift with dedication and energy.
Born and raised in Yucatan, the Mexican state neighboring Quintana Roo, this proud father and husband keeps his life philosophy sweet and simple: "Salud, amor y dinero." Lorenzo's genuine nature and shy, but shining smile raises the question of whether he might have any juicy secrets to share. He confesses that few know he would like to give nude volleyball in the pool a try, "but other than that," he says, "I'm transparent; what you see is what you get."
