Hidden Beach is located on the beatiful Mayan Riviera, just one hour south of Cancun. www.hiddenbeachresort.com |
Greetings from Hidden Beach - The World's Only 5 Star, Gourmet Inclusive, Clothing Optional Resort. &Clothed when practical, nude when appropriate.&
Nooo, nooo, nooooo we're not talking about the newest elastic, watertight waistband addition to the Pampers line up, we're talkin' turtles!
Yes indeed, throughout the month of August, romantic dinners on the beach were not only accompanied by wine and candlelight, but on unexpected occasions, by HB employees scurrying to help the little paddlers dig out of their sandy nests and head out to sea. Not the ambience that was expected perhaps, but who needs a jazz trio when you've got a miracle of nature.
Guests too lent a hand to guide the little guys safety to the sea. Thanks to all who pitched in to help preserve a very special little part of paradise!
So you never figured volleyball to be one of those super competitive, trash-talking sports. Perhaps you've never had poolside seats to the Hidden Beach Guest vs. Employee V-ball showdown. This event seems to be most popular in the summer months, as HB employees seize any opportunity to cool off in the pool.
During each match, two games to 15 points are played. As a rule, when the guests' team wins, employees claim that they let them win out of courtesy (after all, it wouldn't be prudent to disappoint them during their vacations) Of course, if the staff should win, guests typically argue that they picked on the drunk guy (and yes they most definitely did.)

Ana Laura Perez Hernandez
You may remember Ana from her "Who's Who" profile in the April 2007 edition of the Au Naturel News, but it's far more likely that you remember her from her beautiful, welcoming smile greeting you upon your arrival to Hidden Beach.
She left for a while you see, but now she has returned and reports that she couldn't be happier to be back. "I love the people here, guests and employees, she says." "I learned many things while I was away. I went to work at different places, took some time for myself and now, more than ever, I can appreciate how lucky I am to have a job that I enjoy at a place that I love, with people that I love too.
She admits to not revealing the whole truth about her place of employment to her family. (Employees too use the dark side as a cover up.) "They think I work in the VIP area of El Dorado Seaside, and it's the truth," she says with a sly grin, "they just don't know it's Au Naturel."
Her dry wit is nearly always a surprise, as no one ever suspects that behind her angelic appearance lies a truly mischievous personality. "Do I have pets?" She contemplates a moment and then matter-of-factly responds, "my boyfriend." Followed by snickering and the addition of, "no, just my babies Shantalle and Gonzo." Incidentally, they're dogs.
Welcome back Ana! It is a delight to once again have you as part of the HB team.
