Hidden Beach is located on the beatiful Mayan Riviera, just one hour south of Cancun. www.hiddenbeachresort.com |
Greetings from Hidden Beach - The World’s Only 5 Star, Gourmet Inclusive, Clothing Optional Resort. “Clothed when practical, nude when appropriate.”
We Are All Born Naked…but Some Are Born Au Naturel
Right now Hidden’s beach is dappled with 12 little corrals of string, indicating that sea turtle eggs are buried in the warm, soft sands below. Staff and guests alike are poised in anticipation of the next bunch of little paddlers to emerge.
After about a month and a half of waiting, two nests full of baby sea turtles have already dug their way out and into the protective hands of Hidden Beach staff. Since they emerged in daylight, staff kept them safe from predators and gave them time to regain their strength before nightfall. Under the moonlight the little guys were passed into the caring hands of Hidden Beach guests who released them into the vast Caribbean Sea. “It’s like leaving your grandchildren on the first day of school,” commented Sandy, a Hidden Beach guest visiting from Arizona. Typically these little turtles will swim for 72 hours straight, pushing their way through the rolling waves and hopefully out of harms way.
Two different species of sea turtles nest on Hidden’s beaches: the Caguama Turtle and the Carey Turtle. If you plan your vacation in the next few months, you may have the rare and special opportunity to release one of these little guys and become part of this wondrous phenomenon of Mother Nature.
Who’s New
The Hidden Beach team welcomes a new bartender to the Moonlight Disco. Carlos, from the nearby town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, has an outgoing personality and is very dedicated to service. Although he will surely be a great addition to the Hidden Beach team, whether or not he can pole dance remains to be seen.

Jesús Ruíz Lázaro
Jesus appears when you most need him. For example, if you have found your way to the bottom of your Margarita, he’s there.
That is why this month’s “Who’s Who Spotlight” features Jesús Ruíz Lázaro, one of Hidden Beach’s hardworking waiters. Now 23 years old, Jesús moved to Cancun from the Mexican state of Tobasco to help support his family at just 19. He applied for a bartending position, but was offered a job as a waiter and snapped it up. He has a warm disposition, wears a contented smile and takes his work very seriously.
When he learned that he would be working at an Au Naturel resort he thought, “Will I be able to do it? Maintain eye contact, act naturally?” He surprised himself by becoming very comfortable, very quickly and says he would enjoy vacationing in the buff. Although the Rowdys have playfully tugged at his apron strings on several occasions (trying to coax him out of it) as of yet, he has not been persuaded.
