A rather off-the-cuff Spanish guessing game for those crazy enough or drunk enough to want to participate…

Question of the Month: How do you say …naked… in Spanish?

Nakido (the most popular answer)
Nudo (the second most popular answer, it actually means "knot")
Desnudo (someone's been studying)
Nakidillo (a naked armadillo?)
El nakedissimo (someone saw The Three Amigos)
Nelavelo (out of left field, but the creativity is much appreciated)

The answer: Although "desnudo" is pretty accurate and directly translates to nude, here in Mexico "naked" is best captured by the word "encuerado". Use it, love it, spread the word!

Put My Chili Where?

For those who frequent HB, certain activities have become a little, mmm, shall we say… predictable. So, when something new and unique appears on the poolside whiteboard, it is truly embraced or in this case dangled.

Put your chili in a bottle combines sexy dancing, hot chili peppers and a bottle. If you're picturing a scene from 91/2 weeks, don't. This game generally provokes fits of laughter rather than passion.

It entails tying a string around the participant's waist to which another knee length sting is attached at the end of which dangles a small chili. A bottle is placed between the participant's feet and the game begins. The timer is set and the participant dips and swerves trying to guide the chili into the bottle's opening.

February is a lovely month to frolic at Hidden Beach, celebrate Valentines Day with the warm sun above and the cool pool below.
