Mexican Bracelets

A length of string and a good teacher are all you need to create an authentic Mexican bracelet. For those lazy afternoons around the pool, this activity fills the time with an idle activity that will yield a lovely keepsake.

Simply tie the string to a fixed object, posts, chairs, or sun beds are ideal. Avoid using parts of the human anatomy given that completing a bracelet can take a few hours, not to mention the complications with restricting the circulation of blood to extremities. Then with a little instruction from the entertainment staff, begin making knots to create a unique design. Add details such as sea shells or beads and the project becomes a work of art.

Iguana Tidbits

They are truly the masters of basking, the lazing, and soakin' up the sun. But did you know…

• Iguanas eat leaves, fruit, insects and even flowers.
• If a predator grabs an iguana by the tail, he is capable of losing a large piece and growing it back.
• They don't come out if it is chilly outsider.
• They climb trees and if they detect danger will jump out of them.
• They live alone. It is rare to find two living together.
• Much like snakes, they shed their skin.
• They don't drink water every day; they maintain their level of hydration by absorbing the humidity in the air.
• They can live to be up to 15 years old.
• One of Hidden's most popular and sociable iguanas has been given the name Igor.
• Much like HB guests, iguanas also prefer sunning in the buff.
